as i left the house this morning, i closed the front door and instinctively pressed the lock button on my car key. yep. then i realised what i did, and shook my head at myself.
why are more non-ratings period tv shows more appealing to me that ratings period ones? thirdwatch is back! that is sooo exciting. for me. who knows where its up to though.

as howie has mentioned, bingo is the thing of the moment. we make up our own bingo calls (besides legs eleven and two fat ladies) - generally things to do with poo or wee "number 2, i need to poo" "thirty three, do a wee" etc. ah the maturity. my apologies.
anyway. i decided to post a somewhat official list of traditional bingo call names. some of them amuse me, some of them i have no idea what it's talking about, some make me cringe...
i don't really expect anyone to read the entire list. except maybe howie, so we can be educated, professional callers in our bingo games.

happy celebration of day of birth for libby!! only one year of teenageness left.
i was thinking today about how much better i like cats than dogs. i say "i like" coz i don't want people abusing me for saying cats are actually better than dogs. they are like little self contained units who look after their own cleanliness - they bathe themselves, and bury their own excrement. they don't smell. they don't need to be taken on walks. they are happy to eat only dry food (maybe dogs are too, i don't know). they're good hot water bottles. they don't bark incessently. yep. cats are good.
i enjoy saturdays. there's still so much promise for the weekend.
yesterday was lunch at the foodcourt with the likes of howie, debbie, tamara, lachie, tim, and grant. plus a surprise entry, being andrew. i decided i shall adamently stick to small norm burgers. any larger just makes me feel sick.
howie and i then did some christmas shopping, sort of. i bought things for me and dad. howie bought a thing for himself. and what a purchase. it's a little bingo lotto game! so fun. although we did have to take back the orinigial coz it didn't have any of the numbered balls. but we played the first game yesterday - and i won! hoorah for chance.
so from westfield, we travelled back to thornleigh, then back to westfield, then to howie's house to watch 'bourne supremacy', which i remembered i liked enough to watch again, then westfield to purchase some dinner, and back to howie's. we ate grilled cheese on half rolls - six rolls for 15 cents!! bargain! there were also mobile fone biscuits and grapes (YUM!) and skittles. then three and a bit hours of the final episode of hey hey its saturday.
i went to sleep after 1am. oopsies. and had a pretty ba baow sleep too.
now off to libby's.
i broked the dvd player two days ago (oopsies) and the repair shop was never open when i went there before work. i rang them today.
i said "what are your opening hours"
she replied "10-3"
i said "oh, i thought you opened at 9:30"
she replied "oh, yeh, we're meant to, but i'm normally late"
i said "ok"
she said "and we're closed for renovations next week"
so i said "ok, i might try someone else"
except i don't know who that someone else is.
no dvd player on the weekend. how sad.
yep, sure am at the office at 11:20PM on a thursday night. so's howie and margy. workhorses i say. or is it stupid? hmmmm....
i had to drive to st marys and back for work today. well, not just out and back, i had a meeting in between. on the way home i started randomly singing to myself - it started of being silly and singing lots of little rhyming couplets that made me laugh. i'm glad i find myself funny sometimes. but i progressed to singing to God. rather than just having myself as my audience. and that was really nice. some of it was hard too - not just coz i was trying to rhyme still, which was difficult, but cause of content. i admit i shed a tear or two. but it was special time with God. i'm glad He knows me.
i don't remember any of the superb lines i came up with. or even the melody. so i'm glad it just stays between me and God. although, since i don't remember it, maybe just with God.
i think Tom wins -
Time of Month as in a female's period.
I'd love to go swimming but Tom is still here.
he might prefer the third definition
lunchies today was with joshy and howie at wahroonga park. the yum of chargrill charlies (although i think i like oporto better nowadays). the athleticism of frisbee. the fun of conversation. the pig fat of maccas softserve. the busyness of westfield carpark. the joy of howie's new orange flashing light.
this mornings devotion was the lord's prayer and forgiveness. neil's sermon tonight was forgiveness and the lord's prayer. forgiveness is an interesting thing. in general and to me. i have to think hard about who there is out there i need to forgive. people don't always spring to mind for me. i wondered if that's bad. i wondered if it says in the Bible that when you ask God's forgiveness, he forgets your sins. i wondered if i should have written down the end summary points. i wondered if there was anyone sitting in that same room thinking they needed to forgive me.
showed lachy, will, michaela, jess and jayne howie's fun light. there was excitement.
had jaffles and been chilling with howie, and howie and debs. good fun. shall be beddies soon. i finally stripped my bed. moving to summer sheets!
i still lament the loss of my movie tickets back in april. it still pains me.
in the end, i felt a bit sick yesterday - the kind of sick where you don't know which end it's gonna come out of.
being sick is not for days off! it's for work days!
but it was kinda fortunate i guess... as howie has mentioned, it was a pretty relaxing day, rather than an overly adventurous one. there was sitting around, dvd, cricket and more sitting around. we didn't eat much til around 5, coz we both felt a bit sick. but fingerbuns and a vegemite sandwich for howie settled our tummies.
then it was td jakes! howie and i drove to concord west and walked through bicentennial park to the superdome. ran into stu and michelle - stu had broken his bike pretty well. it was my first time to the superdome so i had no idea where i was going. fortunately, howie had enough of an idea.
good old tom had saved us seats that were close enough to see stuff - always a good thing. and so there was praying and singing and listening and shouting and clapping... special guest darlene. which did mean i knew two more songs than i other wise would have.
td jakes preached. i think in many ways it fulfilled my picture of american preacher man. not that that's a bad thing mind you. hundreds of people responded in the end. here's the big man himself

i'm glad that christian song melodies are often predictable. i only knew three songs but it wasn't hard to catch on for the others.
walked back to the car. stopped off at woolies for some dins. i do like yoghurt.
and home.
am not all that impressed with my sleep last night. but you get that.
tonight is beach social for GAP. please don't rain!!
well not today my friends! it's a day off. not that i ever work 9-5 anyway.
still not sure what today holds.
for a number of days i was seeing something like this on a bus shelter as i drove home

it's missing a bit of text to what i saw. i was driving past at about 70km/hr so never got a real good look at it, or the website address. it may have been this which i just found as i googled around (i'd be interested to get your opinions on the website).
in any case, it's a book cover.
i'm not quite sure i agree with the helpfulness of the wording. i think if i was a girl with a serious eating disorder, being told i'm not real doesn't really make me feel much better about myself.
meanwhile, the sign was changed to day... it's now a maccas ad.
tacos for tea
tacos for tea
went movies tonight with howie to see 'four brothers'. love cheapo tuesday. wasn't bad. wasn't anything terribly exciting either. i like the little twist towards the end. good stuff. i like twists. in movies. probably not so much in my own life.
i got to drive rita last night - thanks sam for allowing me 20 or so minutes of bro-ness.
i'm so short.
i think 'negate' is my word of the moment.
brave are the people who work, or more importantly choose to work, from some pre-9am time of the morning.
but they don't have to invite me into it by calling me before that time!
i always convince myself, when i occasionally get burnt, that i won't peel. but alas it has begun. goodbye illusion of brownness.
firstly, lunch was with david and howie in the foodcourt. i very much like fruit salad.
then, the first beach swim of summer, as howie and i headed to north narrabeen. jeepers it was cold, but once i was competely numb i was fine. twas good fun.
mumma made us dinner - chicken pizza. mmm, yum.
then this evening i discovered that allocated seating is gaybo. howie and i went and saw 'flight plan'. we were in cinema 1, seats E2 and E3. for the sake of principles, we sat in about E5 and E6. allocated seating is a silly invention. what are you thinking greater union? but i did enjoy the movie. and the skittles we ate.
and now i shall head home.
thankyou tom for the use of your computer.
howie got me the fun that is this singlet for my birthday last month too. i think it is because i am daggy - therefore old school.

"KICK IT OLD SCHOOL - Get off the air, MTV. This ride needs no pimping. Being the third wheel has never seemed so fashionable."
nice. no seriously. i like it. tricycles are awesome.
twas liberachi's 21st tonight - peace, love and mungbeans. there was couches, candles, coldness, corn chips, cake & fruit on a stick. i so much love libby, and i'm glad she seemed to be having a most enjoyable evening.
it's wonderful how many memories there are with people. it was fun sitting on the couch with peoples like howie, tim dabinett, sam, jo kemp, debbie, steve and sometimes kirri or chuckie, and being silly and enjoying the company of each other. and so much to be reminiscing about. quality old friends like that are tops.
as an aside, twas funny but - the unintentional penty/(mostly) baptist divide. i'm sure it was a social circle rather than denomination thing!
and now to bed. ah the joy of warmth.
i need to buy some shoes. i also need to throw out some shoes. i'll probably give some to wombat too. i don't think i'd ever buy shoes from an op shop though.
create your own visited countries map (just stopping in airports doesn't count)
not an exact science... need one that does little dots for places you've been... makes it look like i've been to alaska when only LA and san fran, or all china, when only really hong kong.
but still fun!
if you're feeling at all unattractive, take heart! go to google images, and type in 'ugly man' and check out the 3rd and 5th images. gold.
(scottie gave me the heads up)
"is your hair dirty?" - ever since that post. no! it's not! i just like wearing bandanas.
that'll teach me.
and i really am sunburnt.
there have been two days over the last 48 hours which have been photo documented, and you can share in the fun!
yesterday, well, i struggled to remember what happened yesterday this morning. but I do know that we went to Westfield and then Hornsby park, and had afternoon tea with david...

then last night after church, we played some very loud hungry hungry hippos and guess who... and Debbie joined in the fun

then today, today! Howie and I had the day off! so we planned to do sculptures by the sea.
took advantage of free cross city tunnel

sure is a tunnel. must admit makes the journey across the city faster
then parked at bronte (via “scenic” route). every bin of the park at bronte beach was lined up. fun!

and began the walk around to Tamarama to do the sculptures walk backwards to Bondi.
there were some mega fun sculptures, and unfun ones too. some were very arty. some were just funny. we took photos.
caution!!

these are four (including above) of my favourites
how cool are big thongs!

very mosaic-y and little

these birdys bums wiggled in the wind

I didn’t take a photo of my favourite, which was a fence.
we had a nice relaxing lunch on the grass at bondi.
oh oh oh, and we saw jimmy barnes!! we walked past him walking his dog.
this is Howie conquering some ‘natural’ fears

I am now sunburnt (boo), and I had the first bindi of summer 05/06!

last night was good. loud. hot.
good to be reminded that i shouldnt be "domesticating" my God. he is uncontainable, wild, untamed, and definitely can't be put in a box.
good fun seeing the likes of david and scott again - and josh, but i see josh most tuesdays.
but yah, good fun with the singing and the funny band and the peoples and the rain outside.
and of course, with "when you say nothing at all".
tis quite the hot today.
whoever invented air conditioning, they are a good chap.
tonight is the goodness of visiting justine with howie. visiting woy woy is always such fun. i never know where i am going. fortunately howie is gifted in his central coast directions. i just never pay attention when i'm driving there.
my kitty cat xander* turns 5 today! hip hip hooray.
*also known as xands, moosh, mooshy, pumpkin belly, panther, bubba, xandy, xandy pandy and xander pander
It all began with a sleep in – a good way to start (actually I was up at 9am, but still). Picked up the boy at 10:42am and headed back to my house, coz changed my mind that a skirt would be practical for the day. Eventually, with decisions made we headed to Warringah mall

First stop was lunch… I had a salad roll from some kebab place, and Howie had a tiny baguette from hungry jacks. then shopping time.
Welcome the trolleys! We bought the last three. The shop girl was upset coz she was hoping she could have one. I showed no mercy.
We did other shopping too… then began documenting the rest of the day with the trolleys…

Drove to Manly for some Copenhagen

And a walk to shelley beach

Then ferried our way to the city

Walked up to centrepoint/westfield, then across to Hyde Park. we bought some tea and chai tea, and looked at the David Jones Christmas display – took me back to my childhood!!
Then sat in the park chatting and drinking tea

Trolley then had some adventures…

I had my first ever use of an automatic toilet. Oh the technology.
Walked back to the rocks for PANCAKES! You’d think I’d learn. So next time I’ll only buy the small stack – I couldn’t get through all three

Back around to circular quay, and 30mins to wait for ferry, so up the white/blue lift for reminiscient photos

Jet catted it back. First time on one of them. So speedy. Much more my style.
A bit of coles shopping

And the journey home
A superb day. Hoorah.
not satisfied with current alarm time of 8:18am. it's a bit of an inbetween, nothing time.
oh so much fun story to tell of yesterday... but patience. because photos are fun!
