yesterday howie and i went for a walk about town. ended up at lady hill, which has a very tall statue on it of some guy who i'm sure is important to someone
we also decided to go for a drive, and ended up at a town called buckie. there wasn't much there but there was a fun park to play in
then today we all drove to hopeman harbour to scatter grandma's ashes in the water. it wasn't too formal an occasion. took advantage of the family being together for a large part, and some photos

then everyone kind of divvied up. howie, mary and i stayed in hopeman village for a while - playing in the park and shopping in the post office/general store

tomorrow we bid elgin farewell and go on a steam train ride. who knows when next there will be internet.
