pros and cons

i think i've decided it's better for us to catch the train into work at TEAR.

it's good because:

- it's public transport
- i don't have to drive in peak hour or semi-peak hour traffic
- it means we have a 20-30 min walk from central to glebe and back again which is good for our bodies

it's bad because:

- i think it's more expensive for the two of us to buy our tickets than to drive in
- the walk can be hot and tiring, or very wet if it's raining
- we have to wake up much earlier
- my thongs tonight ripped some of the skin on the bottom of my toes

but those four cons seem to be outweighed by the three pros

If it's raining you can always catch a bus from Central. Re: the costs, with a train ticket you're also paying for "less hassle" - not having to find parking, not having the stress of peak hour driving, or the risk of accidents, etc. I work in the city and there is absolutely no way that I would be persuaded to drive each day.

plus it means howie can add to his collection of train tickets. that'll make him happy!

Yah, I work in the city too. I catch the train, to drive from Asquith and find parking is unconceivable! (complete aside - that word always reminds me of The Princess Bride)

Thongs aren't really made for walking long distances. They have no arch support and are probably not good for your feet.

parking at TEAR isn't a problem. just for the record.

yes thongs are bad support, but shoes are so hot in this weather!
