everytime i'm doing a spot of pruning in the garden i always convince myself that i'm not allergic to a particular native bush right alongside our front path. i'm not exactly sure what it is - not a grevillea or a bottlebrush, but something like that.
i go ahead and cut off the evergrowing branches of leaves and flowering buds, knowing that soon i'll have to pick them up and put them in the green bin. i gather them together and carry them to the bin. and sure enough, everytime i end up with red itchy and stinging rashes on my hands and arms. i can feel it happening as i do it. even as the leaves fall and brush past my arms and legs.
when will i ever learn.
edit: i think it is actually a grevillea. a grevillea robyn gordon.
Category: Ummmm.....Does it have reddish buds on it?
ladyslipper or something.. we had to cut one down because mother, trent and i were severly allergic to it..
Maybe you should ask someone else to do the pruning ...
