box me!

I'm a sucker for a blog craze, even if only three other people have done it so far.

So my results for the personality test:

I am ISFJ.

Introverted (I) 68% Extraverted (E) 32%
Sensing (S) 82% Intuitive (N) 18%
Feeling (F) 65% Thinking (T) 35%
Judging (J) 95% Perceiving (P) 5%

I did a proper myer-briggs test in year 7. our whole class had to. I don't remember what i was. I'm sure i have the results somewhere. our class was a bit like that. we were guinea pigs. and therefore we had to jump through a lot of hoops, do a lot of personality and intellect tests. thousands and thousands of stupid questions that were meant to tell us all kinds of things about ourselves. great fun.

Reading this bit is a little freaky - fair bit of truth! I am told I have the following traits:

~ Large, rich inner store of information which they gather about people
~ Highly observant and aware of people's feelings and reactions
~ Excellent memory for details which are important to them
~ Very in-tune with their surroundings - excellent sense of space and function
~ Can be depended on to follow things through to completion
~ Will work long and hard to see that jobs get done
~ Stable, practical, down-to-earth - they dislike working with theory and abstract thought
~ Dislike doing things which don't make sense to them
~ Value security, tradition, and peaceful living
~ Service-oriented: focused on what people need and want
~ Kind and considerate
~ Likely to put others' needs above their own
~ Learn best with hands-on training
~ Enjoy creating structure and order
~ Take their responsibilities seriously
~ Extremely uncomfortable with conflict and confrontation

If you know me, would you say that's me?

I just did it.

I am an INFP

Introverted (I) 57% Extraverted (E) 43%
Intuitive (N) 64% Sensing (S) 36%
Feeling (F) 75% Thinking (T) 25%
Perceiving (P) 55% Judging (J) 45%

Reading through some of the descriptios especially the ones about how I relate to people is scary!!! Too much truthfullness.

absolutly you!!!

I'm an ISFJ too! Although my scores for N/S and T/F are so borderline I could be an INTJ as well.

Posted by: lesley at August 10, 2007 08:06 PM

I'm ISTJ.
Introverted (I) 61% Extraverted (E) 39%
Sensing (S) 77% Intuitive (N) 23%
Thinking (T) 80% Feeling (F) 20%
Judging (J) 68% Perceiving (P) 32%

I'm not sure what that means. I know in these sort of tests that I have done before I have gone heavily towards the analytical/thinking side as opposed to the feeling side (please don't hate me all you "feelie" people out there!). The thing I struggle with in these tests is, I feel like I could do them same test in a week and get different scores depending on what sort of a mood I'm in.

I'll have to read the descriptions though for this one!

Hmmm ... after reading the descriptions they are a bit too accurate. They even picked my job out!

I came out INTP - and the comments matched me - the careers matched too - except the bit where it said I have no desire to lead or follow.

if someone has no desire to lead or follow, what is it that they do desire? to sit?

Posted by: jenny at August 11, 2007 02:03 PM

They want to go their own way and don't like people following them.

I did the test again, to see if it would be the same result or if I had changed since this morning. I got the same result again but much less extreme in most areas:
Introverted (I) 57% Extraverted (E) 43%
Sensing (S) 64% Intuitive (N) 36%
Thinking (T) 75% Feeling (F) 25%
Judging (J) 50% Perceiving (P) 50%
I even ended up with a 50/50 in J/P.

I don't know what that proves though!
