it's always disappointing when someone is caught out doing the wrong thing in the sporting arena. particularly when it involves illegal performance enhancing.
so i think there might be interesting viewing late tonight in light of vinokourov's and team astana's withdrawal from the tour after some postive test results.
it's sad because this guy had won two stages in a massive comeback effort after an awful fall and 60-odd stitches - and now it seems he had a little help with that comeback.
i feel sorry for this team mates who have had to withdraw because of him. particularly for the two, kloden and kashechkin, who were in the top 8.
Category: Mawwwww...I would dare say that I every single person riding in the tour de france is using performance enhancing drugs. Only the stupid and unlucky ones get caught. Its for that reason (and the Lycra) that I just don't appreciate the sport.
Posted by: Scott at July 26, 2007 08:35 AM...and now Rasmussen the yellow jersey holder has been kicked out of the race by his own team for lying to them about missing drug tests.
Posted by: Dave at July 26, 2007 08:38 AMfair enough comment Scott. I still think they are amazing athletes. That's probably because I HATE riding my bike.
Yay - Rasmussen's gone! We thought it was unfair he was still in there.
Go Cadel!
