the first is that yesterday we discovered that pineapple won't eat pineapple, but ham will. we already knew pineapple would eat apple, and ham won't. we also found they both like watermelon and kiwi fruit. they are definitely fruit boys. which is a good thing, but they need to like veggies more. and meat.
the second is that we decided to save petrol and walk to westie today. nice blue skies, and a pleasant trip through normanhurst and waitara to westie. we got some drinks, some lunch, saw anmol, and then decided there wasn't anything else we needed so began to walk back. the moment we stepped outside i commented on the not-so-blue-anymore skies, and the fact that i had decided to not bring an umbrella. we made it to normanhurst station thinking we might make it home dry, but the droplets that were occasionally falling on our heads since the pacific hwy became rain. we laughed a lot as we continued the walk home. especially as it eased up as we got three doors down from our house.
so now all our wet clothing is in front of the heater, as is howie, and i'm hoping my shoes will dry and not have that these-shoes-have-been-wet smell later on.
