safety no more

i read this morning that the safety house program finished up on March 18th.

and that people don't know that, and haven't taken down the signs, which could pose a risk to school kids who seek refuge if threatened.

apparently the program couldn't be managed well. like what stops some predator getting a sign and welcoming kiddies into their house.

but i wonder why they they suddenly decided it wasn't a good idea. and why they haven't publicized it much.
