What I would have blogged over the last few days

GAP

it was the bogan bbq, and it was heaps of fun! So many flannies and stubbies (of the clothing variety). We had heaps of fun with the bbq, the flipper toss, egg and spoon race, the piñata! And after all that, we had a really good time of encouraging one another. Those encouragement nights are, well, encouraging. Not because of anything said particularly to me (although thanks Will), but because it’s awesome seeing young people speaking words of encouragement and admiration to other young people. Thanks for an awesome end to term 3 God!!

GRAND FINAL

oh dear. It’s never fun to lose a grand final. And it’s never fun to lose by one point. Poor swans. I blame barry hall. And I have a passionate dislike for adam hunter (and enjoy grant’s wise words of “die adam hunter die” forever emblazoned on our CD locker) and ben cousins. I don’t feel like a terrible vengeful cow because those feelings don’t extend to the entire team. I’m just sad for our boys. They were so sad, and they missed so many opportunities. But yay for visitors at the HOF – we had dad and debs, lachy and will, ben, lachie, cathy and grant. It was loud and foodful and fun! Yay for visitors!!

FONDUE

Later that same evening, deb, will and I ventured to grants for fondue with him, cathy, Kelly and simon. For me, fondue conjures up thoughts of cheese, or chocolate. I’ve never had it before. But we had oil, and lots of meat! So much meat. But it was yummy, although probably not all that healthy! We even set serviettes on fire – that’s how fun a night it was! Also, grant, simon and I owned in taboo. Grant and I continued on our word game success. And the fruit and melted chocolate round was oh so yummy too. Although I felt like I could roll home after all that, AND the grand final junk food.

TURTLES

I’ve “taught” pineapple to jump. Well not really, but I’ve go a new trick with him where I hold his food out above the water and be pushes himself up out of the water to grab it (and my finger). So cute and fun!

Ham is still good and cute too, although a little doughy. They are both very entertaining.

GARDENING

my lovely mumma and dad came over this morning to help me neaten up the front garden a bit. we pulled out heaps of weeds and it looks soooo much better. One day we’ll get around to the back yard too. That’ll be even more of an effort.

BIRTHDAYS

it is now officially the month of birthdays. Not that other months don’t also have birthdays, but October seems to have so many more. So happy birthday to everyone who is an October baby. Yay for us!
