my grandpa is sick. he got test results back, which said one of the valves in his heart has gone to the dogs, and the doctor said he has three options:
1) get a pacemaker, which won't really do anything
2) have open heart surgery, which there's no guarantees about, and he could die on the table
3) leave it be and let nature take it's course
none of those options are particularly optimistic. he and grandma want to talk with dad and his brothers before making any decisions. it's all a bit sad though. i'm not quite sure what to feel.
